More Internality Exposed
In "Concrete Crept Inwards," I utilize linoleum laser-engraved with references from my open wounds, plant forms, and concrete textures as a substrate for applying oil paint to structurally complicate and define the forms I reactively refine. Critically, concrete has served as a significant aggressor to my pain, as my worst injuries and most painful and complex healing processes have stemmed from my body's fragility and acquiescence when confronted with the rough, unfaltering surface.
