Internality Exposed > More Internality Exposed

In the Rumination Diptych, I consider the notion of rumination centered on control through undulating forms that wrest within and without themselves: processing the cognitive dissonance of feeling both inherently broken and profoundly alone. I employ the visceral as a method rather than a comprehensive purpose, shifting the intention and mentality behind my manipulation of forms in space. Extrapolating the biomorphic qualities of my constructions, I engage in the layering process of painting, allowing materiality and automatic mechanisms of form delineation to guide my negotiations toward speculative ends.
