About

Chloe Macaulay is a BFA Candidate double majoring in Studio Art with a Painting Concentration and Art History and Archaeology at Washington University in St. Louis. A New York City and Boston native, she also studied at The Santa Reparata International School of Art in Florence, Italy. She has recently shown in the group shows Ouch at the Des Lee Gallery in Downtown St. Louis, The Unconcious State of Being at the SRISA Gallery in Florence, Italy, and in Exile, her solo show presented by the Philosophy Department of Washington University in St. Louis. By choosing to study art at a research-based university, she engages the full breadth of her interdisciplinary interest in considering experiences of chronic illness and the intersection of art and medicine through frameworks of art history, science, and philosophy.
